In the third episode of the PermiServ podcast, Sales Director Louise Lambourne chats with Managing Director Jon Bayley about the roots of PermiServ as the business transformed from a print company to a garden waste permit specialist.
They discuss the history of the company through the years, starting from John's recognition of the problems facing local councils and the need for modernisation, to the modern-day PermiServ working more than 100 councils and running events across the country to deliver industry expertise (and free lunches).

June is Aphasia Awareness month, and in this special episode of our PermiServ podcast, Sales Director Louise Lambourne talks with her father Howard about aphasia, which affects the brain’s language centre and makes it difficult to speak, read and write. Howard suffered a stroke in 2019 that resulted in aphasia.
PermiServ is a supporter of the Say Aphasia charity, who provide information and guidance for people affected by the condition, and who have helped Howard with his recovery.
‘If we can give just one person dealing with aphasia the confidence to get out there and not be scared of situations that require communication, we’ll have succeeded,’ says Louise.

In the very first PermiServ-only podcast, released to coincide with Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day 2024, Sales Director Louise Lambourne and Sales Manager Polly Bird had a fascinating and much-needed conversation about balancing work and motherhood. They shared their individual journeys and discussed how companies can support working parents in the tricky juggling act of excelling in a career and raising a family.
